I don't update this English site as much as I should so please do stop by the English C PhotoGraphic Facebook page, here and the Japanese site. Some signs are in English and if you be careful and don't get tripped up on the Japanese characters you should be able to get around the Japanese site OK . Do pop on over and have a look.

I've been lucky to film and photograph from Tokyo to Okinawa and most places in between and would love to hear your plans for the big day.

I can be contacted by email 104,101,114,101ereh, by telephone on +81 90 3880 0895 or by Skype at cphotographic.

the day before a kiwi wedding

A big tent, by the water, lots of grass – a kiwi wedding. Some before the big day pictures of a friends wedding that I took in February. Some pictures of the big day itself coming soon. More here.

a proposal in shibuya

equipped with a ring and a lot of help from his friends, the groom-to-be (he hoped!) made a proposal of a life together in front of the Shibuya – the famous “scramble intersection”. Have a look for the result

An Iconic wedding in Ginza, Tokyo

Highlights of the day (and there were a lot of highlights!) are in the film above. The film we edited and showed on the day, a same day edit (SDE) next.

Pictures of the day, with a great description of the wedding and the couple, are up on the More Than Words blog here.

Sparten warriors, the bride and groom entering the wedding ceremony carrying swords and skulls – it all sounds a bit scary but the day was full of love and hilarity. Watch out for the friends of the groom dressed as Spartan warriors from the movie 300.

ski jump wedding in Kobe

The day ended with marshmallows over a camp fire and a ski jump by the groom to the bride. An action packed day for an action couple at a beautiful old Guggenheim residence in Kobe

wine and cheese afternoon in Inogashira Park, Tokyo

Nina and Eugene live right next to the beautiful Inogashira Park in Tokyo. Nina grew up around and in the park so we spent time at her favourite spots.

Actually, I was a bit worried that some of the shots towards the end would be a bit blurry and out of focus because the wine and cheese ended up being shared by all three of us!

Really looking forward to filming their wedding later on this year.

guided by a dolphin to itsukushima shrine on miyajima

well, not actually guided by a real dolphin as such, but the groom appears to be guided by a dolphin as he walks off the ferry at sanbashi in miyajima, on the way to the wedding at miyajima. the sign is from the newly redone miyajima aquarium.

the bride and groom got ready at the beautiful sekitei (incidentally, the first wedding I ever shot was at sekitei) and then returned there for a family dinner get together.
