purple wreath of love in a box

lots of rain in this Japanese shinto wedding and reception wedding film.  in fact it rained so much all day that I decided to (perhaps I didn’t have that much choice!) to incorporate it into the story of this wedding movie. the speech from the groom’s friend near the start refers how rain on a wedding day in Japan is actually seen as a good thing.

filmed in Odawara, about and hour or so from Tokyo.

the purple wreath was made by the bride’s friends during the reception do, from messages that everybody wrote at the start of the day.

the music to this wedding film is classical music – the music during the reception was a string quartet and the couple said they wanted a low key film so decided to go with classical music. a good wedding movie is not just about fast cuts to the track of a pop song!
